Faces of Rwanda

September 6, 2015

…some of the photos were already published with articles, but I thought it would be a pity to keep them just to myself :-).

I went to Rwanda in 2013 and I have met really incredible people there, who shared their lifestories (some of htem even on my blog: https://sarkapechova1.wordpress.com/2013/07/12/about-an-acrobat-with-golden-heart/).

…tea time…

It took many hours on a dusty bumpy road to get the fields, where tea is grown and also processed.

We were nearly done with all the photos, questions and reportages, when we met these people. At the start they were not very happy to see us, but then we had such a good laugh and they didn´t want us to go! They have a very simple life. They live in the lush green mountains and harvest tea leaves. The nearest town is hours of ride away.

This kid totally loved taking photos!

He lived in a really nice orphanage (seriously, it does exist!) that a great man has built for abandonned kids. From nothing he whipped out this amazing place in rural Rwanda! They grow their own food, have various eco projects and kids and youngsters learn crafts. Learn more about this incredible place here: http://lesperancerwanda.org
